Wednesday and Thursday

Wednesday June 6, 2007
10a - Slept in a little bit. Got up, hung around the house.
11:30a - Went into town did a little bit of banking and grocery shopping. Picked up Scott and came back home for a little bit of lunch.
1:30p - Headed out to Playa Bonita which was a little bit further out from town and less populated and spent the afternoon swimming and lying out on the beach.
6:00p - Came back to the house for a nice dinner by the pool.
8:00p - Watched most of the beginning of Donnie Darko, which is a wonderful yet creepy movie
10:30p - Went out for a nite at La Bodega which is like a bar/nightclub with a live band and plenty of dancing.
12:00a - La Bodega closed up shop (there's a new law in all of the Dominican Republic that all bars/clubs are closed at midnite on weekdays and 2a on weekends) so we went home and to bed.

Thursday June 7, 2007
9:30a - Got up and had a little bit of breakfast
11:45a - Scott gave Laura and me a ride over to El Portillo where my grandmother lives to meet with her for lunch. We meet her and she her house and head over to an italian restuaunt on the beach.
12:15p - Have a nice lunch with my grandmother (Oma) and her "assistant". At the end I felt a little badly because even though lunch was delicious I couldn't eat all of it, and I think the owner of the restaurant got the impression that I didn't like it. To make matters worse when we were saying goodbye to my grandmother, I accidentally left the box of leftovers on the table =S Oops, oh well.
2:00p - We call Scott to pick us up at the beach, and we return home for an afternoon swim at the pool.
6:00p - A nice dinner at home, followed by both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2
